In Pagauary: The Gift
When my girls were pre-teens, mornings were often a struggle against the clock and against tangled hair!
As I grabbed a brush and hair tie to tidy their long locks into a practical, yet pretty style that pleased their taste for a day at school, the clock made it clear they were never going to get to school on time. Giving my girls a smile to begin their day was important, so my time spent on their hair was vital.
I was reminded of those days when the picture of a young girl with a beautiful smile popped up in my computer from our Project Hannah Paraguay ministry. I saw the inner glow in her smile as someone worked her hair into a shining, beautiful covering to enjoy swishing back and forth over her shoulders.
The smiling young girl with the new ‘look’ was a result of a group of Project Hannah ladies in Paraguay who gave a practical gift as they taught women cooking and hair-styling skills. While ladies lined up to enjoy the cooking delicacies and receive the hair treatments, they listened to Nayila speak of the love of God and the gift of His Son, Jesus.
