Women of Hope is Aired In:

A

  • African French

    In most West African countries, women and girls face the same challenges as those living elsewhere on the continent. Many suffer from HIV/AIDS, poverty, lack of education, etc. "Women of Hope" for French West Africa began in 2007. Since then, God has been using the programs to bring hope into the lives of many women who have been touched. Families have been restored through the practical life messages and the transforming power of the love of Jesus.

  • Albanian

    Presently there is an open door to the gospel in Albania. The task for this first generation church in Albania is daunting. It is a country which has suffered terribly. Domestic violence, among other problems, happens frequently because in this culture it is not supposed to be talked about outside of the home. "Women of Hope" producers want to share with these women that it needs to be talked about. They want them to know that God holds them in His hands.

  • Amharic

    Reaching the Amharic women of Ethiopia in Northeast Africa, "Women of Hope" Amharic went on the air in April 2009. The program encourages women to come out of the repression they have suffered and see themselves with respect and dignity, even though they are living under the negative influences of their social and economic conditions. The programs provide a means of sharing God's love with them and their children as well as offering advice on dealing with issues affecting their daily lives.

  • Angolan Portuguese

    Millions in Angola are still struggling to recover from the effects of civil war. The infrastructure in the cities has been destroyed, making essential services almost non-existent. Poverty persists and women are often the ones who suffer. "Women of Hope" programs have been sharing messages of hope to Angolan women since 2002. God has used this ministry to have a profound impact on countless lives, bringing healing and providing hope through Jesus Christ.

  • Arabic

    On January 7, 2012, the first Women of Hope radio program in Arabic went on the air. This is the culmination of a long-time dream of PH founder Marli Spieker to share hope with hurting women in the Arab world.

  • Assamese

    Women living in India's Assam state and beyond, whose first language is Assamese, are able to listen to Women of Hope Assamese through the Internet on TWR India's website.

B

  • Bambara

    Bambara is the the most widely spoken language in Mali, West Africa. Although French is considered the official language, few women, especially in the rural areas, speak French. Bambara is their heart language. "Women of Hope" Bambara brings hope and shares compassion with the Bambara women.

  • Bengali

    Reaching women in the north Indian state of West Bengali, Women of Hope Bengali has been speaking hope to the hopeless since March 2007. Women in West Bengal deal with many of the same issues as the rest of India, domestic violence, abortion, lack of adequate education, etc.

  • Berber-Kabyle

    Radio is a crucial tool for Algerian women to hear the gospel and grow in their faith. Project Hannah's Women of Hope has been bringing hope to Algerian women since March 2009. Women are told that God loves them and understands their heartaches.Their spirits are nourished through words of encouragement and biblical principles expressed in a way that they can understand. Women of Hope (Azal n tmettut or Women of Value in the Kabyle language) restores dignity into women's daily lives.

  • Brazilian Portuguese

    Since February 2003 "Women of Hope" in Brazilian Portuguese has been on the air in Brazil. Produced especially for Brazilian women, it's up-to-date themes are presented through friendly conversation between the hosts. "Women of Hope" brings information, provides practical advice and spiritual teaching for a woman's daily life. The program is broadcasted in short and medium waves, satellite and Internet.

  • Bulgarian

    On the air since October 2008, "Women of Hope" in Bulgarian has been reaching into the hearts of women in Bulgaria with the good news of Jesus Christ. Messages share information for daily living today and hope for the future through a relationship with Jesus.

  • Burmese

    Facing great difficulties and spiritual darkness, Burmese women in Myanmar are often left with a sense of worthlessness. "Women of Hope" Burmese has been touching the lives of Burmese women since July 1999. The goal of the program is to see Burmese women experience freedom in Christ and enjoy the benefits of living a life free from the bondage they experience in their culture. The program offers encouragement and good advice from a godly perspective they can pass on to their children.

  • Cebuano

    To reach Cebuano-speaking women in the Philippines, Women of Hope (Kahayag sa Paglaum) shares practical advice and spiritual guidance for their relationship with God. On the air since July 2005, Women of Hope seeks to heal the whole woman. This program is not only helping women, but men as well, who seek advice from the program to better understand women and their family's needs. Each month, Women of Hope in Cebuano receives around 300 text messages, as well as many e-mails and letters.

  • Central Asia Russian

    Throughout Central Asia women are learning of God's love and receiving hope for their daily lives through Women of Hope programs.

  • Creole

    Haiti occupies the western one-third of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. "Women of Hope" radio programs have been speaking hope in Creole since 2001. The poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, women and children in Haiti face malnutrition and disease due to unsanitary conditions. Haitian women, suffering from lack of education, are unable to deal with many of the circumstances they face. "Women of Hope" programs address the very issues that women encounter daily.

  • Croatian

    Women in Croatia can hear the message of hope through Women of Hope Croatian programs "Zene Pune Nade" designed to address the issues women face and introduce them to Jesus.

  • Danish

    Produced by Norea Radio Denmark in cooperation with Project Hannah, "Radio Cafeen" is reaching into the lives of Danish women to share messages uniquely designed to meet their specific needs.

  • English

    Airing since October 1998, Women of Hope's English radio program is written by a team of international scriptwriters and airs from locations in the Caribbean, South Pacific and Africa. English scripts serve as the template for Women of Hope programs produced in additional languages around the world. Women of Hope programs blend practical advice for everyday living with a message based on God's Word.

  • European Portuguese

    Since the European Portuguese version of Women of Hope went on the air in October 2007, Project Hannah has been growing fast in Portugal. One fruit of the ministry and radio program is an outreach in prisons. Project Hannah representatives visit women in prison and share the gospel with them.

  • Farsi

    As of September 7, 2012, Women of Hope programs can be heard in Farsi. Project Hannah seeks to share the hope that can only come through Jesus with Farsi-speaking women, who desperately need to feel God's love and to understand their true value in God's eyes.

  • Guarani

    Along with Spanish, Guarani is an official language of the South American country Paraguay. Project Hannah's Women of Hope team (Maria, Loida and Clara) produce programs in Guarani, which have been on the air since July 2001. Currently programs are being aired from 23 radio stations within the country.

  • Gujarati

    Spoken in the western state of Gujarat, India, Women of Hope Gujarati has been touching lives of the Gujarat women since August 2009. Women are being taken from their state of agony and distress into hopefulness and peace. Follow-up workers in India respond to listeners in their respective languages.

  • Hindi

    Hindi is one of the leading languages among India's 17 major languages. Women in India deal with issues of abortion, child marriage, domestic violence, lack of educaiton, etc. Yet, the women of India, in the midst of their sufferings, doubts, fears and tears are hungry for answers and desire to know more about God. "Women of Hope" programs offer Indian women the hope they so desire.

I

  • Ilocano

    Airing since July 2005, "Raniag ti Namnama" (Women of Hope) in Ilocano has been reaching Ilocano-speaking women in the Philippines with the gospel of Jesus Christ. These women need someone to give them hope in life and advice on what to do especially in dealing with difficult issues they face daily. "Women of Hope" programs fulfill that goal and lives are being changed.

  • Indian English

    English provides a common language among the major languages in India. The modern Indian women of today, living mostly in metropolitan cities, are faced with dual responsibilities, one of a homemaker and the other, of career women. She has to live up to the role of a traditional Indian wife, mother and a daughter-in-law and at the same time cope up with the demands of her career. "Women of Hope" in Indian English meets the unique needs of these Indian women.

  • Indonesian

    Answering God's call to reach women in Indonesia who have no happiness, no hope and no joy in their life, "Women of Hope" Indonesian has been sharing God's everlasting love since May, 1999. Project Hannah in Indonesia also is meeting the physical needs of women through such means as conducting health seminars for the poor. Radios are distributed to those who cannot afford to buy a radio to listen to the program.

  • Isaan

    Women of Hope speaks hope into the lives of the Isaan women of Thailand and Laos in their heart language.

  • Javanese

    Feeling that the Javanese women of Indonesia needed a "Women of Hope" program designed to meet the challenges they face daily and provide hope through biblical messages crafted to share the love of Jesus, "Women of Hope" Javanese went on the air in March 2001. Listeners are responding. Beyond the radio program, PH teams share much needed medical information and fellowship with listeners as they visit with them.

  • Kannada

    Women of Hope programs in Kannada are reaching the Kannada-speaking women in India with words of encouragement and hope.

  • Kazakh

    It is especially valuable for the women of Central Asia to hear the programs about the value of women in God's eyes. Many women of this region have problems with low self-esteem and very often consider themselves as second class citizens because they are a woman.

  • Khmer

    Women in Cambodia are able to hear of God's love and receive hope and peace from listening to the "Women of Hope" program in Khmer. On the air since 1999, "Women of Hope" is part of Project Hannah's overall ministry in Cambodia which includes radio distribution and working with local ministries to meet the physical needs of women.

  • Korean

    Produced by TWR Korea, "Women of Hope" programs in Korean have been on the air since April 1999, making it one of the longest running "Women of Hope" programs. Seeing the special need to bring hope to women in North Korea, Project Hannah responded with programs specifically to designed to touch the heart of the Korean woman.

  • Kurdish Sorani

    On June 3, 2013, Project Hannah began Women of Hope radio programs reaching the Kurdish Sorani women living in Northern Iraq. The producer commented how she loves working with the scripts that are so uniquely developed to reach into women's hearts.

  • Kyrgyz

    Women of Hope programs share with the women of Central Asia the message of hope and tell them that they have value in God's eyes. Many women of this region suffer from low self-esteem because they are led to believe they have no value because they are women.

L

  • Lengua

    Lengua (Enxleht) is one of the tribal languages in Paraguay. Women living in the remote regions of the country are still able to hear messages of encouragement and hope through "Women of Hope" radio programs in their own language.

  • Low German

    Airing since January 2005, "Frues met Hopninj" "Women of Hope" in Low German has been reaching out to Low German-speaking women in such countries as Bolivia, Paraguay, Mexico and Canada. Sharing the message of the hope that is within us that comes though a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the program also shares practical advice for everyday living.

  • Macedo-Romany

    The Roma people in Albania are poor and the rate of unemployment is several times higher than that of the non-Roma. They live in substandard housing conditions. The majority of Roma are unemployed. In addition, they face much discrimination. TWR's partner in Albania feels a burden for these people and is producingf "Women of Hope" programs uniquely designed for Roma women. Listeners gain tools for practical living while being introduced to the ONE who has the solution to their problems.

  • Makhuwa

    Deeply entrenched in tradition, the people of northern Mozambique, Africa, are surrounded by non-Christian influences. Many Makhuwa women do not read so learning God's Word through radio programs is often the only way they can learn it. On the air since February 2008, "Women of Hope" Makhuwa is reaching women with the gospel as well as sharing useful advice for everyday living. Women are being released from bondage and lifted up from brokenness, mourning, shame and hopelessness.

  • Malayalam

    Malalayam is the language of the southern India state of Kerala. "Women of Hope" in Malayalam has been reaching the women of Kerala since January 2008. Messages shar the love of Jesus along with advice for dealing with issues women are facing daily. The results are evident as lives are being changed and women are facing tomorrow clothed with joy instead of despair.

  • Mandarin

    "Women of Hope" has been speaking hope to both Christian and nonbelieving women in China since October 2000, with an integrated approach combining media programs and on-the-ground interaction. By making available the Gospel message and lifestyle teachings of the "Women of Hope" program, as well as prayer groups and follow-up, we seek to restore suffering Chinese women through the work of the Holy Spirit.

  • Mozambique Portuguese

    Located on southern Africa's east coast, Mozambique, is ranked as one of Africa's poorest countries. Add to this, years of war, famine, poverty, threat of HIV/AIDS, and a high illiteracy rate, and you find women faced daily with seemingly overwhelming challenges. "Women of Hope" in Mozambique Portuguese has been touching the lives of these women since 2007. Women, who formerly felt hopeless, are overcoming their dire circumstances through a relationship with the God who holds their future.

  • Nepali

    Airing since 2008, "Women of Hope" Nepali is sharing the love of God with women in the South Asian country of Nepal. Life messages present answers to the challenges women face daily. Soul messages reach the very heart and soul of women with the hope that only comes from a realtionship with Jesus. Women are responding and lives are being changed for all eternity.

  • Nivacle

    Nivacle is the language of an indigenous tribal group (Chulupi) living in the Paraguayan Chaco. The "Women of Hope" program called "Lhpa ocjeclo chi'caclecla" in Nivacle speaks to hope into their spiritual darkness and presents Jesus at the point of their felt need.

O

  • Oriya

    Since March 2006, "Women of Hope" Oriya has been reaching into the lives of women in the state of Orissa on India's east coast. Listeners' hearts are being touched with the transforming power of Christ Jesus. Lives are being changed. Life messages also share information about issues pertaining to women's daily lives such as family relationships, child-rearing, health, etc., providing education to meet their physical needs.

  • Oromo

    Oromo is one of the languages of Ethiopia. "Women of Hope" went on the air in 2010 so that now these women, who need to hear that God loves them and be presented with Jesus as their only hope, can hear "Women of Hope" programs in their heart language.

  • Oshivambo

    Women in Namibia can hear messages of hope and God's love for them as shared through "Women of Hope" radio programs. Women are responding. Groups of women are gathering together regularly to pray through Project Hannah's monthly prayer calendar and seeing answers to prayer.

  • Papiamentu

    Since October 2004, "Muhe di Speransa" (Women of Hope Papiamentu) has been reaching women on the small Caribbean island of Bonaire. While the island boasts coral reefs that offer divers unsurpassed underwater beauty, the situation faced by Bonairian women is far from beautiful. Addiction to drugs and alcohol is common. Fathers are absent from their children's lives, leaving mothers with sole responsibility for support. Women of Hope programs bring comfort to women who desparately need hope.

  • Pashto

    Reaching women in Afghanistan "Women of Hope" Pashto went on the air in December 2014.

  • Punjabi

    Reaching women in India's northern state of Punjab, "Women of Hope" Punjabi has been on the air since March, 2007. Women throughout India share the same need for Jesus in their lives as well as help with daily challenges they face. "Women of Hope" programs are aimed at meeting both those needs in a woman's life.

  • Punjabi for Pakistan

  • Quichua

    The Quichua "Women of Hope" program "Sumaj Pugyu", which means a "Beautiful Water Well", from which life-giving water continually flows, has been on the air since November 2004. Produced in Ecuador by women with hearts sensitive to the daily problems faced by Quichua women. The program shares the genuine love of God and the salvation through his Son Jesus Christ. It also offers hope to those women who are tormented by various hardships, like divorce, separation, domestic abuse, etc.

  • Romanian

    Women who are hurt, abused, and without hope live in the Eastern European country of Romania, and they need to know there is someone who cares for them; perhaps they have never heard how much value they have in God's eyes," says Cami, producer of Romania's Women of Hope program "Speranta pentru Ea" (Hope for Her in Romanian). The program reaches the heart of a woman and gives her the courage to move forward in her daily life, practically and spiritually.

  • Russian

    Women of Hope in Russian went on the air in January 2010. Our Russian listeners need understanding; somebody to share their daily problems with. Women of Hope producers point out that there is no higher protection than to be in God's hands. Our listeners also need fellowship and friendship. They also need practical encouragement about building relationships in the family which Women of Hope provides.

  • Sgaw Karen

    Women of Hope in Sgaw Karen has been on the air since October 2002. Reaching out to the Karen women in Myanmar with messages uniquely designed to meet their physical and spiritual needs, the radio programs touch upon family relationships, health-realted issues, and much more to touch their physical and emotional needs. Truths from God's Word address spiritual needs, sharing the love of Jesus.

  • Somali

    "Women of Hope" programs called "Rajada Dumarka" in Somali are speaking hope to many Somali women in their heart language. It is our prayer that the Lord will use this program to transform the lives of Somali women in Africa and beyond.

  • Spanish

    In October 2000, Women of Hope was aired for the first time in the Spanish language from TWR's station on Bonaire and from Uruguay. Today we praise God that the program is being aired in 23 countries from more than 400 local stations, as well as on the Internet. Women of Hope plays an important role in today's Spanish-speaking world where millions of women are confronted with painful situations like loneliness, hopelessness, poverty, depression, sickness, etc.

  • Swahili

    The "Women of Hope" Swahili program, "Wake wa Tumaini" was first aired in September 2008. Produced in Kenya, East Africa, the program shares advice for a woman's daily life while also introducing her to Jesus at the point of her felt need. Women, formerly living in misery and without hope, have seen the hand of God hold and deliver them from their fears. Women are facing the future with dignity restored.

  • Swahili (Tanzania)

    The women of Tanzania suffer in the same situations as women in many countries of Africa: poverty, fear, abandonment, etc. Yet in the midst of their distress Women of Hope programs bring a ray of hope through drawing them to a personal relationship with Jesus. Programs are on the air as well as distributed on CD.

  • Swedish

    Produced by Norea Radio Sweden in cooperation with Project Hannah, "Hanna's Café" is receiving much feedback via facebook, emails and sms text messages.

  • Tagalog

    The Philippines is a beautiful tropical country lying in the Pacific Ocean with many women in different parts of the nation. Behind their beautiful smiles lie broken hearts and dreams. Women of Hope Tagalog (llaw ng Pag-asa) speaks hope into the lives of these women. On the air since July 2001, Women of Hope Tagalog is currently airing on 100 FM stations in the country.

  • Tajik

    Like most of Central Asia, women of Tajikistan need to feel the love of God. Women of Hope programs speak of God as a loving Father. This truth heals the hearts of Central Asian women and gives them the feeling of security in the arms of a loving God.

  • Tamil

    Tamil is the heart language of women living in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Since October 2005, Women of Hope radio programs have been speaking hope to the Tamil women, sharing the love of Jesus with women who need to feel His love. Project Hannah's Tamil producer creates programs that speak to the very heart of these women.

  • Telugu

    Women of Hope programs speak hope into the lives of women in India's state of Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere through the Internet on TWR India's website.

  • Thai

    Women of Hope Thai has been reaching women in Thailand, Southeast Asia, since September 1999 with information realting to family issues, health care, etc. as well as offering hope through God's Word.

  • Turkish

    Women in Turkey face many challenges. Women of Hope programs relate to the Turkish women's needs and share the hope we have in Jesus with them.

  • Turkmen

  • Twi

    Women in Ghana need to know of God's love for them. "Women of Hope" programs are heard in the Twi language, sharing the messages of hope that comes only through a personal relationship with Christ.

  • Ukrainian

    Women of Hope Ukrainian has been heard by women living in Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine since November 2002. The current social-economic situation in Ukraine presents many challenges, especially for its women. Many are affected, directly or indirectly, by poverty, prostitution, trafficking, drugs, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, divorce or abortion. These women need HOPE! The program raises important questions concerning the practical way of life and offers help from a biblical perspective.

  • Umbundu

    Umbundu is the heart language of many women in Angola. "Women of Hope" has been reaching Angolan Portuguese-speaking women since 2002, but in 2010 we have added programming in the Umbundu language to reach more women with the message of hope in Jesus Christ.

  • Uzbek

    Women of Hope programs in Central Asia share the important truth that women can look forward to tomorrow with Hope through Jesus.

  • Vietnamese

    Life in the Southeast Asia country of Vietnam is not easy. Women particularly face many challenges. "Women of Hope" in Vietnamese has been sharing hope that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ since October 2000. In addition, the program offers Vietnamese women information to help them deal with family relationships, health issues, etc.

    Zulu-speaking women in South Africa are able to hear the life-changing messages of Women of Hope programs in their heart language.
