Morgan Jackson: Greetings from the Intern Insights Author

I suppose an introduction would be fitting. Some of you reading these Intern Insights: Prayer Journey posts may want to know who the woman is behind the words. So let’s say hello, shall we? My name is Morgan, and I am a 20 year old college student from Illinois. Before embarking on my fourth and final year in school, God decided to bring me to North Carolina for the summer to work with TWR as their Project Hannah intern. I may be fairly young, but I have grown up in the church and the Lord has taught me a great deal in my two decades here on this earth. Through these “Intern Insights” I hope to make you aware of the great needs in West Africa while offering encouragement, hope, prayer, a story or two from my own life, and perhaps a few laughs along the way.

When I began writing this series, I didn't know what the next 31 days would bring. But I knew that we serve an awesome and powerful God who lovingly created each of us. He formed this whole world and holds it in the palm of his hand. So I trusted Him, willing and able as He is, to guide my thoughts, to be in total control of these “Insights,” and to lead my words that they may be encouraging and uplifting to those who read them. So friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, I invite you to come back if you feel so led. I invite you to pray and read the thoughts God placed on my heart to share with you.

As I read about global Project Hannah teams in the prayer calendars, I was reminded of the women I was surrounded by in TWR's North Carolina office. The team who helps produce these Women of Hope audio programs is so diligent in their work. All they desire is for their efforts to help women experience God’s love and guide them to a relationship with Jesus. It is truly an inspiring group of people. So, as you read a little about me, let’s remember and pray for the some of the women I wrote about:  Women of Hope coordinators around the world.

Lord, give them wisdom and strength. Allow their ministry to make an impact for Your Kingdom.

Let me leave you with some words from a Côte d’Ivoire listener: “…women need to know about Jesus. Jesus is the one who can help us face the difficult situations of life…”

Jesus brings hope. Let’s pray for those who day in and day out strive to spread that hope.

Be challenged and inspired by Morgan's Intern Insights: A Prayer Journey series.
