Da--- is 50 years old and has two children. She is quite poor and she suffered from breast cancer for many years. Recently she told us that one of her sons lost his faith in Christ. He quit school and sadly even started to use drugs and alcohol. He joined a gang after his father kicked him out of the house, but he would still come home to ask his mother for money, in order to buy drugs. He would threaten her at times.
When we went to visit her, she said that all of this is a huge burden for her to bear, especially experiencing the loss of her son to the ‘fallen world’; stealing and basically abusing his own body. She asked us to pray for him and for herself; that she might stand strong through this ordeal. Da--- also shared that her husband used to be a believer, but he also abandoned his faith. He is not compassionate and fights with his son. In fact he doesn’t want to see him around their house. She asked to pray for her husband to return to Christ and along with him the whole family. As she talked we realized she was actually scared her husband might overhear us talking about these matters. Even so, she asked us to continue to pray for her family. We pray for this dear lady and her family and we ask you to join us in prayer for her and her family. She told us that the programs we are making encourage her and many other women. They also give her HOPE… that ONE-DAY her situation will be BETTER. She thanked us for these programs, the visits and prayers. She is so happy to know that people are praying for her.
