Peggy's Message

August 2015

Dear intercessor,

I recently received an email that blessed my soul: “Your letters to ‘dear intercessor’ have been a great blessing to me. I appreciated so much your boldness, your faith, and your confidence in God and His word. There is much anointing from the Lord. … It really encourages me to trust fully in Him for the ministry of Project Hannah.”

That’s why I am here writing to you again. My desire is to encourage you to keep on praying. Trusting. Waiting for miracles. Because our almighty God is not deaf. His power is made perfect in our weakness. So let’s expectantly come before His throne as we intercede for families affected by domestic violence.

I have four beautiful granddaughters. They are all in their teens but already dreaming about their wedding dresses! But they are very aware that lack of love and respect in the family has the power to destroy their dreams. Their generation has been exposed through the media to a world of dysfunctional families.

Some extreme feminists want us to believe that women’s enemies are men. I beg to differ. Satan himself was the first abuser. He deceived Eve into using her God-given power of influence for his destructive purposes. The consequences were and still are devastating. Not only did men and women lose sweet fellowship with God and with each other, but also the rivalry between their sons resulted in the first case of domestic violence when Cain killed his own brother (Genesis 4:6-8). Ever since, every family that is not under God’s rule of love, forgiveness, and mutual acceptance is prone to fail under the load of selfishness and sin. Domestic violence does not respect race, religion, social status, or culture, as you can read in our prayer calendar.

But there is a way out! Jesus took the curse upon Himself and died on the cross, thus paying the price for our redemption. Each time a man or a woman accepts His great commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) of loving God and of loving neighbors as himself or herself, instead of violence there is peace with God and with one another.

This is why we need to pray. Jesus, our Prince of Peace, has the power to exchange hate with love, abuse with respect and dignity, and violence with grace. He alone softens hearts and minds and turns lives back to God – our loving Father.

Believing with you,
