Peggy's Message

December 2012

Dear friend,

I don’t know about you, but at the end of the year I usually feel as if my body is running ahead of my soul navigating the maze of responsibilities and demands of life. Every time I stop, and my soul catches up with my body, I find God’s extravagant love waiting patiently for me. I know this is true for most of us. This month, let’s pray that millions of women would answer Jesus’ invitation to come and draw near to the heart of God – no matter how much they have to do. Don’t you think that even those of us who have walked with him for years from time to time have to stop and soak our souls in His soothing, faith-strengthening presence? It’s there that we find our strength to go on. Let’s pray also that women will understand that only an intimate relationship with Him will satisfy their deepest desires and needs.

May we all learn that in times of busyness and trials, when the heat of difficulties is raised seven times more, we can walk as Daniel’s friends did – freely in the midst of the furnace (Dan.3:17–18)! Because even before they hit the ground, Jesus was there to stroll with them IN the fire! Let’s pray that women will experience this same closeness with God. May they never be alone but experience God’s protection in the heat of their suffering. I am confident that as we intercede for them, this very blessing will spill over to us. Sometimes it seems that the longer we walk with God, the more He raises the fire’s temperature. I guess He needs to see what is on our hearts as He did with Abraham and Moses, with Paul and even with His Son!

This is my last letter this year. Let me thank you for standing firm in prayer along with Project Hannah’s more than 40,000 intercessors in 121 countries throughout 2012. You have traveled on your knees with us and fought heated spiritual battles. You have touched precious lives with the soft and powerful breath of your prayer. You have brought changes to entire communities by interceding to seek God's intervention. Laws were created to protect and empower women; PH team members were touched by a fresh wind of faith and joy because you mentioned their names, asking God’s blessings on them and their ministries.

Thank you, also, for praying for me for all these years. Your prayers changed circumstances and carried me in perilous travels, even when I crossed the valley of the shadow of death. Only eternity will reveal the scope of this amazing work you are doing for the Kingdom.

I wish you a blessed Christmas! May God reward you as you keep seeking biblical justice through prayer until “it will roll like a river” over this world.

Believing with you,

marli-1
