Peggy's Message

December 2010

Dear intercessor,

As I write this letter, I am in Cape Town attending the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization. One of the topics of this historic congress is about embodying Christ’s transforming love. To seek biblical justice as we practice James’ definition of pure religion: to take care of the poor, the widows and the orphans.

Since the inception of Project Hannah, it has been my desire to empower, encourage and help women break the cycle of poverty in their lives. I also pray for us to be able to empower women we so diligently pray for, through microenterprise, literacy and practical advice for their daily lives. These activities alone, without the message of salvation in Christ, will never renew and transform their hurting hearts. We are aware that transformation comes only through personal faith in Jesus. When that happens, the new relationship with God creates a new relationship with people, and consequently has a deep social impact. Please pray with me for these issues during this month.

Jesus Christ says, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”(Mark 12:30-31)

Let’s pray with gratitude for the mercy ministries of Project Hannah’s faithful teams worldwide. They equip, encourage and teach new skill to women reaching out to them in many practical ways, and God is blessing their efforts. That’s the nature of mercy. As we receive mercy we are compelled to give it back to others around us. As we pray and allow God’s spirit to mobilize us, we can’t help but serve those who are in need around us. That is exactly what is happening all over the world through your faithful prayers. Thank you!

Thank God also for the men who have a “heart-shaped brain” and are obeying Jesus’ command to love their neighbors. They are providing essential logistical, financial and spiritual support to Project Hannah’s ministry. May God bless us all as we pray for God to open even more avenues for us to reach our broken world. God will receive glory as the world sees our good works.

Thank you, dear friend, for your faithful support in prayer and finances to this blessed ministry. May God help, protect and reward the labor of love you do month after month on your knees for disengaged, suffering women who are seeking truth.

Praying with you in joy,
